Returning Students

We are delighted that you are returning to East Mississippi Community College to complete your post-secondary education. To help you navigate the admissions and enrollment process, we have created the following Admissions Checklist and helpful hints. If you have been a previous student of EMCC in the past (taken a few semesters off) and are seeking re-enrollment, this is the application for you. For the complete Admissions checklist, click here.


If a returning student has been away from EMCC for more than a year, they must submit a new application. If the absence is less than a year, no new admissions application is necessary; proceed to step 2.

 

  1. 1. Admissions

    Complete the electronic APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION.

  2. 2. Transcripts

    If you previously attended EMCC, we need official transcripts from any other colleges or universities attended since your last attendance at EMCC.

    For financial aid to be processed, all official transcripts must be on file.

  4. 4. Financial Aid

    1. Apply for Financial Aid or setup a Payment Plan with the Business Office.

  5. 5. Register for Classes

    There are three ways to register for classes:

    1. Email: advising@eastms.edu
    2. Call: 662.243.1925
    3. Schedule an appointment: https://www.eastms.edu/admissions/registration-advising.html

  6. 6. Business Office

    Visit the Business Office to finalize your student account:

    1. The Business Office will account for all financial aid you have been awarded and will tell you if you owe anything for your education.
    2. If you have an account balance, you must meet the minimum down payment requirement and sign a fee payment agreement prior to getting a student ID.
    3. You may also purchase a parking decal and make meal plan selections in the Business Office.

 

Student Housing

Complete the Housing Application to obtain a dorm room at the Scooba campus:

  1. Submit a Housing Application.
  2. Call the Housing Office at 662-476-5443 for assistance.
