Transient Students

To help you navigate the admissions and enrollment process, we have created the following Admissions Checklist and helpful hints. If you need additional assistance, please don't hesitate to call Lion Central at 662.243.1920. We are here to guide you through this process and assist any way we can.

Transient students are expected to fulfill the same admission criteria as transfer students and must be eligible for immediate readmission to the last college they attended. It is also important for transient students to get approval from the Dean of the College or their advisor to ensure the credits they earn will be recognized at that institution. EMCC will need a current transcript from the student’s home college, along with the application.

  1. 1. Admissions

Complete the electronic APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION.

  2. 2. Transcripts

EMCC encourages the use of electronic transcript exchange. Prospective students should check with their college to see if they participate in an electronic transcript exchange program. Hardcopy transcripts may be mailed to the Office of Admissions at either campus location. See below for mailing addresses for each campus.

  3. 3. Visit the Business Office to finalize your student account

    1. Transient Students are not eligible for financial aid; aid can only be received at one school at a time.

    2. If you have an account balance, you must meet the minimum down payment requirement and sign a fee payment agreement prior to getting a student ID.

    3. How to Reach the Business Office:
      1. Email: studentar@eastms.edu
      2. Golden Triangle campus: 662.243.2606
      3. Scooba campus: 662.476.5070 or 662.476.5114

  4. 4. Visit your campus bookstore

    1. Some courses have eBooks attached to the class, so check your schedule. Have questions, contact the Instructor for the class.

    2. You must have an EMCC Student ID and a copy of your schedule to purchase books. (You may view and print your schedule by visiting your LEO portal).
